« La soutenabilité : une boussole pour le management public ? »

Les 22 et 23 juin 2026, l'IRGO organisera le congrès annuel de l’Association Politiques & Management Publics et s'interrogera sur le concept de soutenabilité : peut-il devenir une boussole pour le management public ? Une cinquantaine de participants est attendue afin d'échanger sur le sujet, et notamment pour mieux comprendre les liens entre résilience et soutenabilité, pour apporter une lecture critique de la soutenabilité publique et enfin pour interroger les opportunités et risques de l'intelligence artificielle en la matière.
On June 22 and 23, 2026, IRGO will host the annual conference of the Association Politiques & Management Publics (Public Policy & Management Association) and examine the concept of sustainability: can it become a compass for public management? Around fifty participants are expected to attend to discuss the topic, with a particular focus on gaining a better understanding of the links between resilience and sustainability, providing a critical analysis of public sustainability, and finally examining the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence in this area.

L'appel à communication vise des communications qui sont appelées à traiter notamment des enjeux contemporains suivants :
- Le management public entre résilience et soutenabilité : faire face aux crises est un enjeu de premier plan pour les organisations publiques (Castán Broto & Dewberry, 2016), intégrant ainsi les deux concepts de résilience et de soutenabilité.
- Une lecture critique de la soutenabilité publique : en somme « l’idée de service public est-elle encore soutenable ? » (Chevalier et al., 1999).
- Numérique et IA : face au bilan carbone et aux questionnements éthiques de l’IA, quels en seront les usages et la régulation en management public (Anshari et Hamdan, 2025) ?
This call for papers seeks submissions that address, in particular, the following contemporary issues:
- Public management between resilience and sustainability: coping with crises is a key challenge for public organizations (Castán Broto & Dewberry, 2016), thus integrating the two concepts of resilience and sustainability.
- A critical reading of public sustainability: in short, "is the idea of public service still sustainable?" (Chevalier et al., 1999).
- Digital technology and AI: given the carbon footprint and ethical questions surrounding AI, what will its uses and regulation be in public management (Anshari and Hamdan, 2025)?
